As the day went on, Shreya continued showering her friends with compliments.
“Rohan, brilliant goal shot!” Shreya shouted. Rohan gave a thumbs up.
She praised Rohan's football skills, complimented Aisha's kindness, and admired Kabir's
storytelling abilities. The more compliments Shreya gave, the brighter the atmosphere around
her became.
Soon, the other children started noticing the positive change in Shreya. They started feeling
happy around her.
Shreya's efforts began to break the ice, and the children started warming up to her.
During recess, instead of sitting alone, Shreya found herself surrounded by friends who were
eager to share stories, play games, and enjoy each other's company.
Shreya, too, felt a warmth in her heart that she had never experienced before.
As days turned into weeks, Shreya's habit
of complimenting others became her
second nature. Gone were the days
when Shreya's words acted like
sharp arrows, piercing the
hearts of her friends. Now, her
kind words were like the gentle
caresses of the breeze, putting
a smile on others' faces.
The once lonely girl now had a
group of friends who cherished
her presence.
Shreya learned that spreading
positivity and kindness had the
magical power to bring joy not only to others but also to herself.
On 24th January, every year the school celebrated Compliment Day. On this day the children
would vote for their favourite friend who they thought appreciated them the most. The child
with the maximum votes would be declared the king or queen of compliments.
Any guesses as to who was declared the “COMPLIMENTING QUEEN” in Shreya’s school this
year?
